Hunzinger Lollypop Rocking Chair
|
|
An important American George
Hunzinger small sized rocking chair with his well known
patented rocking mechanization.
This is a very rare example of Hunzinger's rocking chair
having a barrel back form and rare Lollypop back detail. The
Lollypops are excellent carved rosettes. Good brown oak
patina.
Hunzinger (the father of the folding chair) built an
exceptional furniture enterprise in New York during
Victorian times. A half century earlier, only Duncan Phyfe's
enterprise could have boasted the same. Circa 1885
